ANSEM, the memecoin tied to Solana trader and X influencer Ansem, has fallen 62% from its all-time high of $0.4436 as a head-and-shoulders breakdown confirms on the charts, with the token now trading near $0.169 after a 12.7% drop over the past week.
The token, officially named The Black Bull, launched on pump.fun in late June and rocketed from effectively zero to its peak in under two weeks, a trajectory typical of Solana’s pump.fun ecosystem but on an unusually large scale. It hit an all-time low of $0.0001444 on June 25, then an all-time high of $0.4436 on July 6, a gain of roughly 116,800% in eleven days before the reversal began.
Chart analysts tracking the reversal point to a head-and-shoulders pattern on the 4-hour timeframe: a head near the $0.447 peak, a right shoulder around $0.356, and a neckline at $0.230 that has already broken. The measured-move target implied by the pattern sits as low as $0.0125, which would amount to a near-complete unwind of the entire pump.fun-era rally. That bearish case would be invalidated by a sustained close back above $0.356.
Not every read of the chart is as grim. A separate technical analysis notes ANSEM recently broke above an ascending trendline that has held as support since its July 28 lows, with the 20-day and 50-day EMAs clustering between $0.188 and $0.191. On that view, holding the $0.178 support and clearing the EMA cluster opens a path back toward resistance at $0.210 and then $0.229. Derivatives data cited alongside that analysis shows positive funding rates, rising open interest in early August, and minimal forced liquidations, which points to positioning rather than leveraged speculation driving recent moves either way.
Concentration risk is the structural issue overhanging both scenarios. Ansem’s own wallet is estimated to hold between 584 million and 587 million ANSEM, close to 60% of the 1 billion maximum supply. The paper value of that position has fallen from roughly $205 million to about $123 million, an $82 million drawdown, even though the token count in the wallet has barely moved, meaning the exposure has not been meaningfully sold down despite the price collapse. Rugcheck.xyz flags the token for manipulation risk specifically because of this concentration in a small number of wallets, a standard warning for pump.fun-style launches where a single holder can move the market.
On the catalyst side, Ansem has distributed an estimated $7 million in airdrops to holders and has pledged weekly redistribution of Pump.fun trading fees back into the token. A planned staking feature, referred to as the Bull Index, remains paused pending a smart-contract audit and a rebuild of the project treasury, which traders are watching as the next concrete milestone. Delays to that launch would reinforce the view that ANSEM is driven purely by social momentum rather than product execution.
The broader market backdrop is also working against ANSEM. Solana meme-coin pairs made up roughly 29% of weekly Solana DEX volume in recent data, and capital has been rotating toward newer names such as CASHCAT, which has built a market cap near $168 million on a rival chain. That rotation, combined with any rise in bitcoin dominance or broader risk-off sentiment, tends to drain speculative liquidity from established memecoins like ANSEM rather than add to it.

For now the key levels are clear on both sides: a close back above $0.356 would invalidate the bearish head-and-shoulders setup, while a break below the $0.178 support would open the door to $0.166 and then a structural floor near $0.154, with the more extreme $0.0125 measured-move target remaining a tail-risk scenario rather than a base case. Analysts covering the token describe it as a high-wire act between social-media-driven momentum and fundamental fragility, and are treating it as a trading vehicle rather than a long-term holding.
