A Ukrainian drone struck a Wildberries sorting center in the city of Oleksin in Russia Tula region overnight, sparking a large fire and forcing evacuations, regional governor Dmitry Milyaev confirmed.
The drone crashed onto the grounds of the Wildberries logistics facility, causing a fire that was visible in photographs sent by eyewitnesses both during the night and into the morning, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel which first reported the attack. One person was injured, with no fatalities reported.
The Wildberries company confirmed the strike and said a preemptive evacuation had been carried out at the facility. The acceptance of current shipments has been temporarily restricted and redirected to other facilities, the company press service said.
Russian authorities also reported missile debris in the Yuzhny neighborhood of the nearby city of Venyov in the Tula region, found on the roadway near a damaged apartment building, suggesting the attack involved both drones and missiles.
The Tula strike is the latest in a sustained Ukrainian campaign targeting Wildberries logistics infrastructure across Russia. On August 4, drones hit Wildberries warehouse facilities in Chekhov in the Moscow region, as well as in the Leningrad and Tver regions. The previous wave of attacks set fire to a Wildberries logistics center in the Tula region, with images of the blaze circulating on social media.
Wildberries is Russia largest online marketplace and has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian forces as part of a strategy to bring the costs of the war home to Russian territory. The strikes aim to disrupt Russian supply chains and logistics networks that support both the civilian economy and the war effort.
Tula region, located roughly 180 kilometers south of Moscow, has become an increasingly frequent target for Ukrainian long-range drones. The region hosts several military-industrial facilities and has been hit multiple times since the beginning of 2026.
