Ukraine’s defense forces struck a depot housing Russian naval unmanned surface vessels, two railway bridges and several other military targets in occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine on the night of July 30 to August 1, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
The depot for naval unmanned surface vessels was hit near Chornomorske in western Crimea. According to the General Staff, the facility was used for storing, preparing and maintaining the uncrewed boats that Russian forces deploy in the Black Sea.
Ukrainian troops also targeted the Syvash railway bridge near Chonhar and another bridge in the area of Vladyslavivka. The General Staff said these routes were used by Russian forces to transport personnel, weapons, equipment and ammunition between Crimea and other occupied territories in the south of Ukraine.
In Sevastopol, a radio-electronic reconnaissance unit belonging to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was struck. Additional strikes hit a repair and maintenance base near Pervomaiske in Crimea, a logistics depot near Podove in Kherson Oblast and a drone warehouse near occupied Tokmak in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The overnight operation is part of Ukraine’s campaign to degrade Russian military infrastructure across the occupied south. In recent days Ukrainian forces have also reported strikes on an aircraft plant in Crimea and a port at Taman in Russia’s Krasnodar region, along with repeated attacks on Russian logistics hubs, ammunition stores and air defense positions. The General Staff regularly reports nightly strikes on Russian rear areas as Kyiv seeks to raise the cost of the occupation and slow Russian resupply.
The Chonhar and Syvash railway crossings are among the main rail links connecting Crimea to mainland Russia, and Ukrainian strikes have repeatedly disrupted Russian supply movements along them. Kyiv sees the Black Sea campaign as a way to reduce the threat of Russian missile and naval drone attacks against Ukrainian ports and the grain export corridor. Ukrainian strikes on Russian naval targets have also pushed part of the Black Sea Fleet to keep its major surface combatants away from Crimea.
Ukrainian officials did not immediately disclose the full extent of the damage. The strikes come as Kyiv steps up deep attacks on Russian logistics and naval infrastructure, part of a broader effort to weaken Russia’s ability to sustain offensive operations in southern Ukraine. Ukraine’s military has described such operations as a systematic campaign against Russian command, logistics and naval assets across the occupied territories.
